Financial Services Authority
A non-governmental, independent body, the FSA's website contains plenty of information and guidance on protecting yourself from money-related crime.
Metropolitan Police Fraud Alert
The Met's response to economic crime, featuring a wealth of information on many different kinds of scams, from false banking websites to the West African Advance fee fraud.
Report a scammer to Auto Trader
If you believe you have been contacted by a fraudster, or have received an email you think is suspicious, contact the Auto Trader customer care team.
Report a scammer to the Police
N.B. Please do not email the Metropolitan Police unless you have details of the fraudster's bank details, address or telephone numbers. Also bear in mind that the Metropolitan Police covers the Greater London area. For help across the rest of the UK, please contact your local force.
